8:08 pm - The Kitty will be back
...and better than ever!

The next month (now that I've updated so many other sites) I will be taking the time to revamp my LJ. New background, and a full clean up. I know that clean up is going to take a while and I don't really want to post much before I get that done. I want to go back to doing at least weekly postings again. So you all get your wish. Look for me to be here  on a regular basis. Yes, I really will. Not enough of you use Myspace ;p

I'm leaving this public. Everything from here on our will be friends only. If you stumble across this, and you know me (and aren't already a friend) add me to read my stuff.

See you all again soon! Drop me a line!

5:08 pm - So you finally got me back...
As requested by so many, I am coming back to livejournal after *thinks* I believe a year and a half. This LJ will be having some major overhauls the next week. I'll make a proper post then. I will be making this journal friends only.

Hello again LJ!

12:47 am - I'm so bad
I want to welcome all you newcomers to my journal, and I want to apologize to all my old users about my absence. I've been very busy with school and work.

Things that have been happening:
1. I went to a lovely wedding in Seattle during Halloween. Many of you I met there are also new people on my LJ. Hello! I will post pictures here the next couple of days (after I do some resizing). I miss you all!
2. School, school, work, work,!
3. ITG is going ok. The forum is still a bit slow. If you like games log onto Onegai *puppy dog eyes*
4. I also moderate for a wonderful Cosplay/General forum. I've been throughly enjoying myself there. Check it out!
5. Dragonfest in Glendale today was a bust. I had fun meeting up with the IE people, but the con itself was lackluster at best.

I'm looking forward to completing and passing all of my classes ^_^ as well as GenCon coming up in a couple of weeks. The posting is going to be slim pickings for about another three weeks, but I will get links to my pictures up.

Having a wonderful Thanksgiving with my dad (who is fighting off the cancer thank god!), and then off to San Fran with a long time friend for her birthday. I'll be seeing you soon Christie-chan!

-_- A bit more homework, and off to sleep.

3:59 am - Quick, long over due update
Stress! Lots of student teaching, lots of school, lots of work! I'll elaborate soon. I have a wedding to do to in Seattle. My plane leaves tomorrow. It should be fun.

Just a silly little thing I said late a night: Another no parking night.
*guy laying in the street where a parking place would be*
G: "Why don't I just park on that guys head."
L: "Nah. You'll get a ticket. That's the permit side only."
G: *blink*

I don't know if I was being humourous, or it was lack of humor ;p

And everyone needs to sign up for the forum! I can be found there frequently.

3:20 pm - OK, here's some good stuff
The job is going pretty good at Into the Game. They just hired my friend Stephen too. It had been going a bit rocky, but we got some things worked out. If anyone wants to still try the beta service, it's still open. Just send me an email, or post back to here. If anything, try out out forums. We need more people to make it more diverse (no offense to the people already signed on). Well, I guess check everything out at the site: Into the Game. It's still very under construction.

By the way, does anyone what to do some game reviews for the site?

My radio show starts up tomorrow night. Come and listen. Asian Orange, Friday nights from 11PM to 1AM PST. By the way, if any one has any good world cds (any country), would any of you mind copying them for the station? I need more selection.

School is ok too. I don't have that many classes, but I do have to start student teaching soon. I'm just waiting for my assignment.

This is a disjointed entry. I'm just trying to get everything out.

Let's see...I'm going to be at Ani-Magic. Into the Game is going to have a booth there. Stop by and say "hi."

I may also be getting an appartment with another girl I go to school with. She commutes from LA, and needs to be closer to school. I think it'll be fun.

I really need to update the look of my LJ, and my AC Paradise page, and my page. PLus I have personal webpages to work on as well as work based stuff. I have so much to do...arg.

Everyone drop a note, and tell me how you are.

Crap. I didn't load my new icons either.

2:34 pm - Wonderful forums of joy
couchprod just got the Into the Game forums up and running. Whether or not you wish to join the site itself, you can join the forums. The URL is Please come on in, and check it out ^_^

Other than that, I've been working tons, been sick the last few days, and getting ready for school. Time to fight for my waitlisted stuff. Weee!

If you're going to be bored Sunday, and in the SoCal area, post here.

3:31 pm - Whatever lies beyond this morning...
I just got my school schedule today along with my financial aid package. The aid wasn't as much as I had hoped, so I may be taking out another loan *sweat drop* Between school and this Into the Game company I work for, I gave Office Depot ten hours a week I can work. I don't think they'll like that, so I probably wont be working there after the next couple of weeks. Oh well.

Thanks to everyone who posted about the home page. I responded to all of them. much more work going into it next week. As soon as I get the images from the ftp, I'm resizing them to look right. The new logo with the new color palette will be done Tuesday, so colors will be shifting again, and maybe we'll get the template up for the rest of the site. I get to spend Monday designing new buttons. The forum for the site should also be up sometime early next week. I hope you all sign up.

As for beta testers, my boss asked that we get more for the trial, so if anyone is interested, let me know. It consists of a 45 day free trial of the site to test out operations.

I'm finishing up my work, and heading off up north to relax for a few days. Maybe I'll get another costume done. I've been putting off Schala for a well as Beatrix.

Is anyone going to Ani-Magic?

3:18 pm - Things are going well
So my new job is going good. I've been tweaking our website quite a bit for content, and we have to demo for the guys that own the company next Tueday. You can see one of the pages here. It still needs a lot of work, but it's getting there. My friend Mark designed it for the company. What does everyone think? Does it display kind of weird on your computers?

I've had an interesting couple of weeks, although I think I spend a bit much on things ^_^;
- new clothes
- new glasses
- classic Gameboy Advanced SP (it's for work...)

I've been going out at night with Sarah, and have had some quality time with the Guitarfreaks machine at AI as well as a seat at Ten Ren. I went out last night with a group of great Chapman choir people to Cafe Tututago, and had a excellent meal full of balloon animals. Laura Smith, Paul's girlfriend, got the balloon guy to make her a unicorn she could wear. At the end of the meal, we got to take the leftovers, and Paul put on the pony, some strange hat, and a wand, and went out side as they were closing. One of Mark's friends took pictures with his camera phone, and while Paul was walking around, a guy going by started busting up and also took a picture. I had fun, but wished I had my camera.

Arg...what I'm writing isn't very cohesive. I'm well, but so very tired...

I'm still working at Office Depot, which is really starting to suck, so I want to quit before grad classes start, but back to school is starting...I just have to remember that I don't owe any of the head managers anything, and just go.

Oh, other fun things! I started hanging out with this nice HP rep I met who likes video games (that I also know reads this journal). Nate, if you're checking this, call me!

If anyone else is interested, please contact me about beta testing for Into the Game's service. You can't have too many beta testers ^_^

Ok, now I must go to OD from my fun job. Blarg...*snore*

4:33 pm - ATTN: All people that live in Orange County vicinity
The company I work for,, is having a focus panel to decide what our new logo, and webpage will look like. We need bodies there or they will be mean to Laura-chan ;_; I need at least four more people, and all of you have wonderful minds! It's in Santa Ana, this Friday at 10AM. If you're interested post back here to let me know, and I'll email you.

I love all of you! Please respond *cry cry*

1:38 pm - On another note...
Into the Game is having a panel group meet Friday, July 30 at 10AM to discuss a look for the site, new logos, etc. There will be food, and it should only take a couple of hours. If you are anywhere near Santa Ana, and wish to participate, contact

Ah, yes...about everyone can see, much has changed the last month. AX was awesome! Here's some group pics of our FLCL cosplay.
Usagi-chan Search and Rescue - Masquerade
FLCL Group
Post Masquerade (with glasses ;p)
Walking around
Fansview - Masquerade
I didn't see as many people as I had hoped throughout the convention, and the dealer room didn't have as many interesting things this year, but I still enjoyed myself. I got into the finals for craftmanship, but ended up losing. We have bigger and better plans for next year, so we will win! Yay!

Hopefully I'll see more of you at Ani-Magic. Kristin, if possible we should go together ^_^ I'm actually going for work purposes as well as cosplay.

Hence my new job. I do promotions and am the IT person for I just got hired, and I'm working two jobs at the moment ^_^; I didn't get a teaching job like I had hoped, but this may prove to be much better.

My summer has been for the most part unevenful. I'm working a lot. My credentials classes start in another month, and I'm waiting for my financial aid to be worked out. I saw Napoleon Dynomite, and loved it. I've been hanging out quite a bit with my friend Sarah (Mamimi in the FLCL pics) just chilling. Not much else to say there.

I'm also trying to move out of my mom's which would make me ultra happy, but we'll see when that happens. I just need more money.

Anyway, I think that's about it. If I think of anything else, I'll post. It'll be easy now that I do much of my work online.

Miss lots of you. Post back, and let me know how you are, or just gimme a call.

1:31 pm - Online game rental firm seeks participants for beta launch
Today, I am posting as a representative of the start-up online game rental company We are looking for between 200 and 500 people who would be interested in participating in beta launch exercises to make sure the distribution system is set up properly.

Here’s how it’ll work. As with other online rental services, users will build a list of desired games, which will be sent out based on title availability. Because the company is still assembling, not much has been put into developing an inventory. In addition to testing the distribution system, beta users’ game lists would be used as an initial list of titles to be acquired. This will also help us get an idea for which genres/systems/etc. to put more weight on when ordering new inventory.

Participation in the beta launch will be free for the duration (estimated at somewhere between 30 and 60 days) and then once the site launches officially, people who participated in the beta launch can either back out, free of charge, or they can stay with the site at a special reduced rate of $14.99 a month. For each new user you refer to the site, you will get $1 off your monthly fees, theoretically whittling it down to free. Regular users will only be able to benefit from ten referrals, and will pay $24.99 a month normally. This may also change with time for start up. It's under discussion.

We’re attempting to offer a service to gamers which is competitive, extensive, non-restrictive, and affordable. In researching other online game rental firms, we’re taking the best ideas from around the web and adding our own ideas into the mix. We’re trying to offer more to the user by providing satellite services. Forums, a recommendation system, stocking games for older consoles (such as Dreamcast, PSOne, even N64 and earlier), stocking imported titles, and the possibility of renting actual console units and peripherals are all being discussed.

If anybody is interested in participating in’s beta launch, all you need to do is send couchprod an e-mail with your first and last name and, if you prefer to be contacted through a different account, your preferred e-mail address. From there, the company will contact people on the list in order to gather the rest of the necessary information. If anybody is interested, please send an e-mail with “Beta Launch” in the subject line to

Thanks everybody!

9:04 pm - Panic!
Well, I'm just ripping my hair out before AX. My beautiful costume is almost complete (except something I'm waiting for to ship). We will see how the rest of my group is doing.

Mel, please email me your phone number so I can find you at the con.

Yikes. I gotta call so many others! I'll call you too Kristin.

BTW, are you going Christie-chan?

This may be my last year competing. I may be a staffer next year.

Arg! Back to work!

11:23 pm - Sleeping since graduation
So I have indeed graduated. Now it's job hunting time. Hurray. Bah. I want a teaching job! I don't have much else to update other than that. Been living with my mom which has its perks (ie: a swimming pool that I use), and I'm still working at the same place sadly. Just waiting patiently for AX so I can debut my costume *nyao*

12:14 pm - Oh by the way...
The LA Phil only had an hour and a half rehearsal on Saturday, and that was it! There were tech problems yesterday, so they didn't get to rehearse at all. Some of them were sight reading, and it still was wonderful! *in awe*
The LA Phil rocks my socks.
My poor horn teacher is tired today though, and he said some lamer string player from the orch spoke to the press poorly about the music before hand, and they printed it in the New York Times! ARG! Well, he had fun playing FF.

current mood: creative

(comment on this)

2:22 am - Why I'm euphoric:
1. The FF concert was outstanding! They played all of my favorites, and the encore was One Winged Angel
2. The kept on showing close-ups of my horn teacher playing which made me giggle
3. I now own a concert calendar, shirt and program signed by James Arnold Taylor, the American voice actor of Tidus. He's really nice.
4. I got to yell at Nobuo Uematsu, wave, and tell him that I love him as he walked by down below. He smiled up at me, said "thank you," and waved.
5. Nobuo Uematsu, Shiro Hamaguchi, Yoshitaka Amano, and Hironobu Sakaguchi were all in the same building
6. We got cheaper seats, but they were pretty much sitting on top of the orchestra. I was close enough that my teacher recognized me, and waved
7. Aeris Theme
8. I ran into my dear Jenna that I haven't seen in almost a year, and Kristin and her husband. I got to go out to eat with them
9. Scene and new melody from Advent Children!
10. Fully orchestrated Zanarkand Theme + pretty visuals from game with it
11. I was part of history, and it was fun

I can't wait for the CD and DVD release!
This has been a good day. I can go to sleep dreaming of the concert.
Also have some extra souvenirs for ebay *grin*

More details later!

2:02 pm - I just pulled the largest disappearing act I ever have
Anyway, gonna make this short. It is hell week here at Chapman University. I graduate next week. YAY! Next Saturday, May 22 to be precise. If any of you find it in your heart to be there, that will be awesome.

I have a wonderful new LJ layout, thanks to cornyflakes. I promise I'll put it up when school is done *pyon*

My costume for AX Masquerade is going well. Just need a few more components, and I even figured out how to do some of the other costumes for peeps in my group.

And I may have a teaching job for the fall. I'm very excited! More details if I get it ^_^

Please bear with me everyone. I'll be back again in a week, maybe sooner!

4:39 pm - I know it's been forever...
I just don't have that much to say at the moment. My Spring Break is this week, so I think I'll finally work on some webpages, and fix up my LJ. I graduate in a month as well, so some of you will be getting grad announcements from me. I also got FF Concert tickets that I'm super happy about. *yawn* I just got home from work, so I'm super sleepy. I think I'll take a nap before AX Masquerade submissions open.
BTW, cornyflakes, I'd still love to get that FLCL journal from you. Send it to my email, k?
Miss you Amy! Miss you everyone! Soooooo busy!

P.S. Listen to my show at tonight at 11PM PST. It's all Asian music, and great fun!
